3. The hotel wrapped around the pool on the ground floor, so it was a bit of a fish bowl. GS

5. ...visited Point Lobos, "the greatest meeting of land and water in the world". Many call it the crown jewel... RB

8. The offshore area forms one of the richest underwater habitats in the world. It is popular with divers & sea lions. RB

16. The real reason TR41 came to San Jose was so Roger could get a ride in Steve's very hot Porsche! JM
17. On Sunday Steve took us to Big Basin Redwoods State Park with his family: Michelle, Sylvie, Emilie & Christy. RB
18. Roger, Joanne, Steve, John & the "Mother of the Forest", 70 ft in diameter at the ground & 329 ft high. RB
19. Here Joanne tries to explain to us how old she really is! Needless to say, its complicated. RB
20. Sanata Cruz is famous for its Boardwalk along the 1 mile beach & its Wharf, built in 1914. RB
21. Mornings start off cool & hazy. Roger is enjoying the sea lions. JM
22. The sea lions were putting on quite a show. This is called "rafting". RB
23. OK, the real reason TR41 went to San Jose was because Plantronics volunteered to host a social event on Wed evening. GS
24. Our hosts, Steve & Allen arranged a bus ride from San Jose to Santa Cruz. First, stop was a tour of Plantronics. RB
25. They have a great demo room with all the new headsets, plus a good museum collection. We toured Steve's audio lab. GS
26. Then, we bussed over to the Santa Cruz harbor for a sunset cruise on this boat. RB
27. The former TR41.1 chair, Tailey Tung & his wife Patty were our guests of honor. RB
28. Pretty much the whole crew is watching the captain. But what's that guy in the center doing? GS
29. Can you say, "Loss plan?" Roger, Joachim & Tailey not only can, but did. AV

41. After touring the shoreline, we headed out into the middle of the sailboat race. RB

53. We walked up & down & around & around for over an hour & covered more than a mile inside the house. GS

59. After stairs, windows & doors that go nowhere & 1906 SF Earthquake plaster damage, the tour saved the nicest room for last. GS
